Arab E-Commerce Summit 2018 discusses the state of e-commerce in the region

The region’s leading e-commerce and retail industry experts gathered in Dubai on Monday for the second edition of the Arab E-Commerce Summit. The 1-day Summit, which is taking place at the Roda Al Bustan Hotel in Dubai, seeks to address some of the biggest challenges facing the regional e-commerce industry and attempts to bring together various segments of the e-commerce industry on a common platform in order to give further impetus to the growth of this challenging yet opportunity laden industry.

Addressing the elite gathering of e-commerce professionals and other senior level people connected to the retail industry, in his keynote address, H.E. Dr. Ali Al Khouri, Chairman of the Arab Federation of eCommerce and Executive Director, MOI, outlined the essentials of successful ecommerce.

Vedanarayanan Vedantham, VP Marketing, HealthifyME India, in his presentation titled ‘Ecommerce in the land of a billion people: Experiences from India’ gave an overview of the ecommerce industry in India and discussed various strategies required to succeed in a dynamic market.

Kareem Mazhar, Customer Experience Manager at Dubizzle talked about various strategies required to enhance customer experience and how it has become an integral part of the ecommerce business in the present times.
