Dubai Economy and Noon join hands to promote e-commerce and customer happiness

Dubai Economy and online retailer Noon have signed a partnership to promote e-commerce among Dubai-based companies. Together, the two entities will work with the authorities concerned in updating e-commerce laws and regulations as well as in enhancing service standards in order to promote customer happiness and facilitate business in Dubai using the latest technology.

The agreement was signed by Omar Bushahab, CEO of the Business Licensing & Registration (BRL) sector in Dubai Economy, and Faraz Khalid, CEO of Noon, in the presence of His Excellency Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of Dubai Economy; and Mohammed Alabbar, Founder of Noon.

Bushahab said: "Dubai Economy is intensifying its efforts to improve ease of business in the emirate by enhancing work quality, coordination between the public and private sectors and services provided to the business community to the highest international standards. We are also launching initiatives that help achieve the goals set by the emirate and support businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises.”

Bushahab added that the agreement with Noon is in line with the strategic goal of Dubai Economy to facilitate economic activity as well as business procedures in Dubai. It will contribute to enhancing competitiveness and sustainability, as well as serving the interests of businesses and the public in Dubai, thereby reinforcing the emirate’s reputation as a business destination, he added.

Bushahab further said that Dubai Economy and Noon exchanging their knowledge will accelerate the implementation and growth of e-commerce initiatives and promote innovation and technology integration within the local business community.

Faraz Khalid said: “We are excited to partner with Dubai Economy to drive the e-commerce ecosystem of Dubai and help create a strong framework that will boost digital enterprises and strengthen service standards. We will work closely with Dubai Economy to enable our retailers to sell efficiently online while ensure that the best interests of customers are met. The partnership will help build customer trust in the digital marketplace and further drive the growth of the sector.”
