Illinois State lawmakers are creating a task force to examine the impact of artificial intelligence and recommend potential legislation.

The task force will analyze how artificial intelligence is used in schools, the workforce and in cybersecurity, coming up with recommendations for new laws or regulations regarding the technology to protect personal information.

State lawmakers, educators, business leaders, labor leaders and technology experts will be among those on the task force.
